Angie Fusco, Executive Director of Eagle Summit, has announced that a limited number of student scholarships, up to a $1,500 saving, for a $4,500 per month total fee, have been made available for families seeking placement for their son at Eagle Summit. “These scholarships are made available to families that qualify and can greatly reduce the costs associated with residential care. This is a great opportunity to reach young men and families who otherwise would not be able to afford treatment for their sons. It also gives us the opportunity to showcase what I think is a great program in Eagle Summit.”
Economic conditions are improving in some parts of the country, but still many families continue to struggle from the effects of the downturn. Scholarships to Eagle Summit may be available to some families who qualify. Scholarships are awarded on a family by family basis but are limited in numbers.
Eagle Summit Residential Outdoor program in Whiteside, Missouri was given a rare, first-year Exemplary Conformance designation, as part of a three-year accreditation from the prestigious Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF).
Part of the experience at Eagle Summit is for the students to have challenging experiences that give them opportunities to enjoy new, memorable and unique experiences but also present them with opportunities to use the skills they have learned at Eagle Summit in unfamiliar places, situations and settings. In early June, 2010, six students and three staff members from Eagle Summit ventured on a canoe trip on the Suwannee River in Florida. The 63 mile long trip took 5 days to complete.
